Intern Leadership Program

A 16-week Internship Program for girls aging out of the foster care system and impacted by mass incarceration. The goal of the program is to invest in the professional and leadership development of young women of color that are marginalized by society. As a result of this program, young women have increased financial security, access to job opportunities that pay living-wages, and skills that contribute to their professional development. After completion, participants have workforce experience and are better prepared to join the workforce.

How Will Interns Engage?

Social Emotional Training & Community Building

PL Interns will develop strong social emotional awareness and community building skills by participating in our program. Our curriculum is designed to create a strong mental health foundation while exploring career options.

Professional & Personal Development

All PL Interns will participate in various professional and personal development activities in a effort to enhance the growth mindset of each participant.

Technology Education & Certifications

Our Intern curriculum was designed to equip young women with the tools necessary to stand apart from their peers in competitive setting. PL interns will receive technology education and acquire professional certifications based on their internship host site.
